How To Make Wali Or Kenyan Coconut Rice, Easy Recipe

Wali Wa Nazi is a creamy and rich Kenyan food, which is a rice cooked in coconut milk. It is often accompanied in a dish with chicken, fish, curry or any meat.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice, washed and drained
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 500 ml coconut milk
  • 500 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk, extra

DIRECTIONS

Put the rice, salt and 2 containers coconut drain and water in a skillet. Over medium warmth heat to the point of boiling, blending sporadically.

Diminish heat, spread with top and stew delicately until the rice is done, around 20-25 minutes.

Just before serving, include thick coconut drain and cushion up with a fork (not a spoon or you will mush up the rice). Present with hamburger or chicken stew and vegetables of your decision.
